Formatting Bootable Linux Install USB after installation.

Gone are the days when we installed Linux with CD's and Multi DVD's. with the USB its very easy to create a boot-able media from the ISO file using DD command. once the Linux is installed we need the USB back to store or transfer files. so we will be seeing on how to make the USB usable again like it was earlier previous to installation.

Updating Debian install with latest security fixes

  Debian 11: 11.2 released With Updates For Bugs & Security Issues - Including Log4j Debian announced the second point release of its stable distribution Debian 11 on 18th Dec 2021. as per Debian news , This point release mainly adds corrections for security issues, along with a few adjustments for serious problems. so to make sure this update is installed on system we need to run below update commands.

Gnome Desktop issues Workaround!

  Hello Everyone! Last post i wrote about my experience on setting up a Debian Desktop for Home user. In this post i would like to document 2 errors i cam across during usage. its not really a issue with Debian install but with Gnome DE i believe. Debian/Arch Forums were helpful in finding the fix/workaround for these errors.

Debian 11 Bullseye setup for home user.

    Debian 11 bullseye post install. Why Debian? I Choose Debian because i like to use an independent Distribution. Debian runs smooth on my personal laptop and it makes me nostalgic. i have tried a huge list of Distro’s but always came back for Debian as it runs smooth on my laptop’s hardware.
